Privacy notice

A plain-language description of what this website does and does not do with information about you.

Last updated: 5 September 2026 (analytics and contact form added). This notice describes the site as built; it will be revised when the site changes.

Who runs this site

Earnest Engines is an initiative of Mabry Ventures LLC. Questions about this notice can be sent to hello@earnestengines.com.

What this site collects

This is a static website with one contact form. It has no accounts, no comment system and no newsletter. It does not set cookies of its own, does not use local storage, and does not include advertising or social-media tracking scripts.

Four things can happen when you visit:

  • Hosting request logs. Like any website, the hosting provider that serves these pages processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type, in order to deliver the page and protect the service from abuse. The site is hosted on Cloudflare; Cloudflare's handling of those logs is described in its own policies.
  • Privacy-friendly analytics. We use Plausible Analytics to count visits. It runs without cookies and without storing anything on your device. It records the page viewed, the referring site, your browser and operating system family, screen size, and the country derived from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored, and no identifier follows you between visits or across sites. We use these counts only to understand which pages are read.
  • The contact form. If you share a problem through the form, what you type (your email address, and any name, role and description you give) is sent once, by email, to our inbox at hello@earnestengines.com. We use Resend to deliver that email; the website itself does not store your submission. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the sender is a person by analysing signals from your browser; it does not require you to solve a puzzle and does not set tracking cookies. We keep your message in our mailbox so we can read it and reply.
  • Email you choose to send. You can also write to us directly, or use the link that opens a pre-filled draft in your own email application. If you email us, we receive what you send, plus your email address, and we keep it in our mailbox so we can read and, where appropriate, reply. Please do not include passwords, payment details, health information or other confidential data.

Links to other sites

The site links to our account on X. Following that link takes you to a third-party service with its own privacy practices. We do not embed X content or widgets in these pages.

How we use what we receive

We use emails you send us to understand the problem you describe and to respond. We do not sell or rent that information, and we do not use it for advertising. Sending us a problem does not commit you or Earnest Engines to anything.

Your choices

If you would like us to delete an email you sent, or to know what we hold that came from you, write to hello@earnestengines.com and we will do what we reasonably can.

Changes

If we add anything that changes how information is handled, such as analytics, a contact form or a product sign-up, we will update this notice before or at the same time.
